These are the begginings of some experiments with wood - carving, painting, rubbing-back and burning. I'm intending to make a large neckpiece with them.

From May to July 2008 jewellery maker Beth Legg from the Scottish Highlands was working with community groups in the Mabou area of Nova Scotia and pupils in Dalebrae Academy as part of the Nova Scotia/ Highland Craft Residency Exchange. This is Beths diary of her time in Nova Scotia.
